We know that children need to grow up loved, safe and respected to be able to unlock their potential. However, we know that there is a lack of support and enriching activities for many and that there is less and less funding for youth work available. We are responding to this need by providing a safe space and running enriching, educational and supportive projects which will help children develop their self-esteem, to be able to make positive and healthy decisions, and to grow in all aspects of their wellbeing and character.

We have a wealth of stories of children who have positively benefited from developing their character strengths with their mentor. We know that this project has a positive impact on the development of young people’s lives. We have received an overwhelming amount of support from the local community, including parents, children, community partners, school staff and previous volunteers in the setting up of this new project.

"The team who run WISE are a wonderful group who care deeply about the pupils in our school. The mentoring has a positive impact on children's wellbeing, the children say that Wednesday is the best day of their week." Headteacher of local primary school
"We provide premises once a month to Hana and the team to provide support to local school children and their families. We receive fabulous feedback from the local community about the work of the team." Pastor of local church
