Hi, my name is Amy!
I am overseeing community outreach and ensuring the continuity of the work of WISE in the North East of Glasgow. This includes working with Hana to oversee our community activities, furthering relationships in the community, and supporting all aspects of training and delivery.
I have been building relationships within the community since 2019, initially in the family programme and then as a youth mentor in a local school. Between 2021-2023 I ran all of the mentoring and community programmes of the previous charity. All of this experience led me to develop close, trusting relationships with schools and families in the community that we support that I aim to build on in my role as Community Outreach Director.
This role also fits well with my current position as North East Assistant Manager at Lifelink, which seeks to better the wellbeing of young people and adults living in North East Glasgow through counselling.
As someone from the East End of Glasgow, I have a deep affinity for the community and the issues faced by young people here. Throughout my various roles, I have seen the positive impact that our work has, and aim to deepen our ties within the communities to ensure maximum impact for young people and families living here.
I am honoured to be part of such an amazing team of talented people with such a passion for supporting and empowering our young people and families!
