Hi, my name is Lucy and I’m Programme Leader at WISE Mentoring!
I’m from Edinburgh but moved to Glasgow in 2020 to study psychology and French at the University of Glasgow, where I am now studying Primary Teaching! I became involved with WISE in 2024 as a mentor, went on to become Project Leader in the same primary school, and am now Project Manager, overseeing all of our work. I am delighted to be a part of these projects and help deliver our fantastic programmes.
In my role as Project Manager, I work alongside a team of 4 amazing School Project Leaders, Isla, Jupiter, Fiona, and Amelia. I also work with Hana, our Programmes Director, Amy, Community Outreach Director, and Iain, Community Project Leader, to promote WISE, provide community events (such as Family Days) and deliver mentor training.
I am absolutely loving this role, and I’m genuinely thrilled to be continuing the amazing work that WISE does! It’s a real privilege to be a part of something so great. Being able to provide that safe space for children to grow, develop, explore their sense of self and their place in the world is really wonderful.
