Hi, my name is Lucy and I’m a Project Leader at WISE Mentoring!
I’m from Edinburgh but moved to Glasgow in 2020 to study psychology and French at the University of Glasgow, which I love! I’ve became involved with WISE in 2024 as a mentor and went on to become Project Leader in the same primary school. I am delighted to be a part of these projects and help deliver our fantastic programme in one of our partner schools.
In my role as Project Leader, I work alongside a team of 8 mentors and 16 children, across our Primary 6 and Primary 7 groups, on their character mentoring journey. I also work with Hana, our Programmes Director, Yasmin, the other Project Leader, and Amy, Community Outreach Director, to promote WISE, provide community events (such as Family Days) and support with mentor training.
I am absolutely loving this role, and I’m genuinely thrilled to be continuing the amazing work that WISE does! It’s a real privilege to be a part of something so great. Being able to provide that safe space for children to grow, develop, explore their sense of self and their place in the world is really wonderful.
