Martha Owens

Hi, My name is Martha and I'm a Project Leader at WISE Mentoring.

I'm originally from Lancashire in North West England and moved up to Glasgow in 2023.

I have been involved with character mentoring projects as a volunteer, across Manchester and Glasgow since 2020.

Now, I lead a character mentoring, primary school project right here in Glasgow. My project consists of seven volunteer mentors and fourteen children across two project groups each matched with a mentor.

It is a privilege to work with such a fantastic and  enthusiastic group of children and mentors. I get to witness first-hand the growth of the children in their unique characters and in their relationships with themselves, others and the world.  I am so very proud to be a part of this team that has managed to pull through logistical setbacks, give so much to our community and that will continue to make a difference in the lives of those people it encounters.
